Need a break from the books? Small Island Coffee is right inside Bill Bryson Library, making it an easy place to grab lunch, pick up a coffee or take five between study sessions.

There’s plenty to choose from, including packaged sandwiches, fresh and toasted sandwiches, salads, pastries and snacks. You can also grab one of the fruit and vegetable blended iced drinks if you fancy something refreshing while you study.

Coffee comes from local roaster Rountons, with a full range of hot drinks available throughout the day. Bring your own reusable cup and you’ll save 25p on every drink too.

Small Island Coffee is only accessible with a Durham University Swipe Card.
