Breakfast, lunch and locally roasted coffee at Boldon House

Based at Boldon House, Common Grounds is a handy all-day stop for breakfast, lunch or a coffee break, with locally roasted Rountons Coffee at the heart of the menu.

If you’re there early, breakfast is served from 8:30am to 11am, with bacon and sausage sandwiches, croissants, pain au chocolat and Greek yoghurt with toppings including blueberry compote, granola and forest fruits.

At lunchtime, there’s a choice of freshly made sandwiches, jacket potatoes and warm artisan pasties and bakes. Options include everything from chicken club sandwiches to cheesy or Keralan cauliflower pasties, so there’s plenty to choose from if you fancy something warm and filling.

Common Grounds is only accessible with a Durham University Swipe Card.
